Television Appearances

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir began broadcasting from the Salt Lake Tabernacle on July 15, 1929, early in the life of radio. What came from that initial program has developed into Music and the Spoken Word, a weekly radio (the longest continuous radio program broadcast in history) and television (since 1962) broadcast of live music and inspirational messages.

The Choir performs multiple live concerts every year from Temple Square in Salt Lake City, including Pioneer Day concerts every July and Christmas concerts every December. The Choir also provides music for the semiannual general conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every April and October. These concerts and performances are often broadcast online and on TV and are occasionally available on the Choir's YouTube channel (see links below).
