Christmas Concert Ticket Frequently Asked Question

What if I didn’t get tickets to the Christmas concerts? Are there other options available?

Each year there are hundreds of thousands of requests for tickets to the Christmas concert.  If you were not successful with your online ticket request, please check here for some other options to enjoy the music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir this Christmas.

Will there be standby seating?

We encourage patrons without tickets to join the standby line each evening. Many standbys are seated in the Conference Center each year. The standby line forms at the north gate on Temple Square approximately two hours prior to the concert start time. Patrons in this line will be seated in the Tabernacle and taken to the Conference Center to fill empty seats as they are available. Patrons with tickets are required to be in their Conference Center seats 30 minutes prior to the concert. Seats that are empty 30 minutes prior to the concert will be filled by those seated in the Tabernacle. The program will be screened live on the big screens in the Tabernacle for those not getting into the Conference Center.

Do I need a ticket for the Music and the Spoken Word broadcast on Sunday, December 17?

No tickets are required for this 30-minute broadcast event in the Conference Center on December 17. Both guest artists will appear on this broadcast. Admission is free to those eight years of age and older. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., patrons should be in their seats by 9:15 a.m.

With the current method, patrons can see which nights are available at the time they make their

If I was successful with my online request, how will I receive my tickets to the Concert?

When ordering tickets, you were able to select either to have them mailed or printed at home using Tickets@Home. If you selected Tickets@Home you were asked to provide an email address where you will be sent a link to print your tickets at home. Each ticket will need to be printed on its own 8 ½” x 11” piece of paper. Printed tickets will indicate the section where your seats are located.
