2017 Christmas Concert
2017 Christmas Guest Artists Announced
Sutton Foster, award-winning actress, singer, and dancer, and Hugh Bonneville, British stage, television, and film actor, will be join the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square for their annual Christmas concerts in 2017!
The concerts will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday December 14-16, 2017. Tickets for these concerts are required, but are a free gift to concertgoers.
Sutton Foster won two Tony Awards for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Anything Goes and Thoroughly Modern Milly. In her Broadway career she has received six Tony nominations which puts her in a very elite category of musical actresses. As a solo artist, Foster has performed all over the country with her hit solo concert and she has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and many others. Currently, she stars as Liza in the television series Younger. Foster is on the faculty as a teacher and advisor to the Department of Theatre and Dance at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Hugh Bonneville is best known for playing Robert Crawley in the acclaimed television series Downton Abbey, receiving a Golden Globe and 2 Emmy nominations for his performance. His extensive stage work includes seasons with the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). He has received four British Academny (BAFTA) nominations for his role in the hit BBC comedy Twenty Twelve and its successor W1A. His many films include Notting Hill, The Monuments Men, Viceroy's House, and two Paddington movies. He received a BAFTA nomination for his role in Iris, in which he starred opposite Kate Winslet.
How and When to Obtain Tickets
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as was the case in 2016, and similar to the way tickets for Pioneer Day concerts and the First Presidency Christmas Devotional are distributed. Patrons will be able to see which nights are available and will know at the end of their selection which night they have received.
On Saturday, October 21 at 10 a.m. (Mountain Time) tickets will become available to the public only online at lds.org/events. Each patron will be able to request 4 tickets. Admission is open to those ages eight and over. There will be no phone requests for tickets, and tickets will not be available in person through the Conference Center Ticket Office.
Speed through Your Request
Ticket requests on lds.org/events are processed through Tickets.com and you must have a Tickets.com account with username and password to request tickets. If you’ve requested tickets from lds.org/events previously you may already have an account. If you don’t have an account or don’t remember your account information, you can create your account now for speedier processing on October 21. Watch the account set up video to see how.

No Tickets Required for December 17 Music and the Spoken Word
The 30-minute Music and the Spoken Word broadcast on Sunday, December 17 will contain music and guest artist performances from the evening concerts. This Sunday morning event at 9:30 a.m. will not require tickets. Guests will need to be seated in the Conference Center by 9:15 a.m.
