The Redeemer is an oratorio-like work in three parts: the Prophecy, the Sacrifice, and the Promise. Scored for choir, orchestra, and soloists, it was written by Dr. Robert Cundick, former Salt Lake Tabernacle organist for 27 years. This video captures the performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square conducted by Dr. Mack Wilberg on the 30th anniversary of the work's premiere.

The Choir and Orchestra are joined in this performance by distinguished soloists Clayton Brainerd, Darrell Babidge, Jennifer Welch-Babidge, Laura Garff Lewis, Sara Thomas, Shane Warby, and Rebecca Wilberg. The DVD also contains bonus footage of Dr. Cundick as he provides insights and background about the events surrounding the composition of The Redeemer.
