The performing venues for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square are the Salt Lake Tabernacle (left) and the Conference Center (right). Most of the weekly broadcasts and rehearsals take place in the historic Tabernacle, for which the Choir is named. Finished by the Mormon pioneers in 1867, its remarkable acoustics provide an ideal setting for the Choir and Orchestra. Daily recitals are also given on the magnificent Mormon Tabernacle Organ. When a larger venue is needed, performances are hosted across the street in the 21,000-seat Conference Center, which was completed in the year 2000.

Sundays 9:30 am Tabernacle	The Choir's weekly live half hour broadcast Music and the Spoken Word is the nation's longest-running network program, having run continuously since 1929. The broadcast takes place every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Those wishing to attend should plan to be in their seats by 9:15 a.m. From Thursday, May 31 through Sunday, August 26, 2012 and during the month of December the broadcasts will be held across the street in the Conference Center, which can accommodate the larger summer and Christmas season crowds. Broadcasts are also held in the Conference Center during LDS semiannual General Conferences, which take place on the first Sunday of October and April. Admission on these two Sundays is only available to Conference ticketholders.

Thursdays 8:00 pm Tabernacle	The Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearses every Thursday evening in the Tabernacle. Unless otherwise noted below, the rehearsals are open to the public. Doors are opened at 8:00 pm and the rehearsal concludes at 9:30. [During the months when broadcasts are being held in the Conference Center (see above), rehearsals also take place there.]

Daily	Thirty-minute organ recitals are given in the Tabernacle weekdays and Saturdays at 12:00 noon, and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Performances are by the Tabernacle organists and by specially invited guest organists. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, a second recital is added in the Conference Center on weekdays and Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. Doors open 10 minutes before the recitals. For recitals in the Tabernacle, visitors should enter at door #11, which is located at the east end of the building, close to the flagpole. Date/Location	Conduct the Choir Facebook Contest
April 25 through May 25, 2012 Conference Center	Beginning April 25, 2012, Mormon Tabernacle Choir is inviting fans across the United States to enter the “Conduct the Choir Video Facebook Contest” for a chance to conduct the Choir’s 360 powerful voices during one of their rehearsals. To enter the contest, participants must visit the Choir’s Facebook page, click on the Contest tab, and download an audio clip of the song “Ode to Joy” from the Choir’s latest album Glory! They then record a 30-60 second video of themselves conducting the Choir. Participants will enter the contest by posting their video to YouTube, and following all entry guidelines on the Choir’s Facebook Contest page. Click here to go to the Choir's Facebook Contest page

May 15 through May 22, 2012 Phone/Internet Only June 22, 2012 7:30 p.m. Tabernacle	On June 22nd, the Bells on Temple Square will present “Summer Celebrations,” a concert timed to celebrate the start of the bright and joyful season of summer. Just two days after the official start of summer, the concert will be presented on Friday, June 22, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. June 02, 2012 2:00 p.m. Snow College Activity Center	The Choir and Orchestra will perform at the Manti Heritage Garden Dedication at 2pm, at the Snow College Activity Center.
