The Top Five YouTube Videos Of 2013

2013 was a huge year for the Choir's YouTube channel. There are now nearly 700 videos on the channel with 7.5 million views and 46,000 subscribers. Below are 5 of last year's most popular videos.

5. Over The Rainbow

"Over The Rainbow," originally written for the movie The Wizard of Oz, won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1939. The song was featured on the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Showtime! CD.

4. Battle Hymn of the Republic

First published in 1862, this song has become a staple at presidential inauguration ceremonies and was performed at Barack Obama’s ceremony on January 21, 2013. In 1960 the Mormon Tabernacle Choir won the Grammy for Best Performance by a Vocal Group or Chorus with its recording of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

3. Silent Night with David Archuleta

David Archuleta was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Guest Artist for the Christmas Concert in 2010.

Arranged by Mack Wilberg and performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square, "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" is one of the Choir’s most popular songs.

Alfie Boe performed this version of “Bring Him Home” while participating in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas Concert in 2012.

This video of the Bells on Temple Square performing “Flight of the Bumblebee” was a hit with Mormon Tabernacle Choir fans online.
